Terms of Service

1. Eligibility and account

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, you must notify us promptly.

2. Use of the Service

Cresumely helps you generate and edit resumes and cover letters using AI models. You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• misrepresent your identity, skills, or experience in generated documents;
• use the Service for unlawful, misleading, or discriminatory purposes;
• reverse engineer, scrape, or circumvent security or rate limits; or
• interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

3. Content and data

You may provide profile information, resumes, job descriptions, and other content ("User Content") to generate documents. You retain all rights to your User Content and to the resumes and cover letters generated from it, subject to any third‑party rights that may apply (for example, job descriptions owned by employers).

You grant Cresumely a worldwide, non‑exclusive license to host, process, and display your User Content only as needed to provide and improve the Service, including quality, safety, and abuse detection. We do not sell your personal information.

4. AI‑generated output and no guarantees

AI‑generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your specific situation. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and validating any resumes, cover letters, or suggestions before using them in real applications. Cresumely does not guarantee any job offers, interviews, hiring outcomes, or ATS pass‑rates.

5. Plans, billing, and usage limits

We offer a one-time signup Free tier and recurring paid subscription plans. The Free tier includes 2 generations total for the lifetime of your account and is not restored after use. Details of each plan are shown on the pricing page. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us (and our payment processor) to charge you the applicable fees on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Usage limits are measured in generations (for example, resume + cover letter pairs). Paid plans renew each billing period and reset usage for that period (unused generations do not roll over). If a renewal payment fails, we may mark your subscription as past due; you can continue using any remaining generations until the payment provider ends or cancels the subscription, after which generation access may stop. Fees are non‑refundable except where required by law.

We may also provide AI helper actions for specific profile fields (for example, summary, experience description, or education description). These helper actions can have separate per-account limits and may be subject to additional validation rules (for example, requiring certain related fields to be filled first). Current helper limits and behavior are shown in the app interface and may be updated over time.

6. Privacy and data security

Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, but no system is perfectly secure. You acknowledge that transmitting data over the internet always involves some risk.

7. Intellectual property

Cresumely, including its brand, design, software, and underlying models and prompts, is owned or licensed by us and protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you. You may not use our name or logo without prior written permission.

8. Acceptable use and account suspension

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or create risk or possible legal exposure for us or others.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error‑free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cresumely and its owners, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service in the 3 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice, for example by updating the date at the top of this page or by in‑app notification. Your continued use of the Service after the changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
